While sentencing Bryan Kohberger to life in prison, Judge Steven Hippler teared up, appearing to cry, as he called the quadruple killer a “faceless coward.” Judge Hippler explained Kohberger “senselessly slaughtered” Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. Kohberger will remain in prison until he dies.
