as posted by the channelFormer competitive cheer coach Erick Joseph Kristianson has been convicted on 23 felony counts for sexually abusing at least 10 young girls, some as young as nine, after prosecutors say he used his coaching roles to gain access to victims over several years. He was eventually tracked down by U.S. Marshals in North Dakota after being allowed to leave Florida on bond, with additional victims later coming forward in California, where his case went to trial in 2025. Kristianson now faces up to 165 years in prison, with sentencing set for March 19, 2026, and separate child sex abuse charges still pending in Florida.
