as posted by the channelA beloved Wisconsin cheese factory couple, Jan and David Metzig, were found shot dead in their home in March 2023, their bodies covered with blankets and bags over their heads, after a mysterious 911 hang-up call. Investigators quickly focused on their son, Erik Metzig, who vanished from the property, was later found nearly 30 miles away, and left behind blood evidence, weapons, and a chilling notebook outlining plans to kill his parents. Erik ultimately pleaded no contest to two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and was sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison. Law&Crime’s Elizabeth Millner goes Inside the Crime.
