A two-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive in a bathtub in Tallahassee, a case that initially appeared to be a tragic accident but quickly raised red flags for detectives. Investigators found inconsistencies in the mother Raymona Ford’s story, and an autopsy later revealed the child suffered acute head and neck trauma that likely caused seizures before water submersion, along with evidence of a prior similar incident. Months later, Ford allegedly admitted to striking her son and was charged with first-degree felony murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter.
