as posted by the channelAfter confronting 21-year-old Garrett Hughes for urinating behind a building following the Super Bowl in Key West, property owner Lloyd “Preston” Brewer III shot him, claiming he feared for his life and was standing his ground. Surveillance video later contradicted Brewer’s self-defense claims, showing him advancing toward the unarmed Hughes and firing in a two-handed shooting stance. Prosecutors argued the killing was premeditated, and in January 2026 a jury convicted Brewer of first-degree murder, resulting in a mandatory life sentence without parole.
