Twenty-two-year-old Jade Alvarez was a young mother just trying to survive in San Antonio, Texas, when she was found shot dead in the street on April 6, 2023. Police linked her murder to 23-year-old Adam Byrd, who was arrested on an unrelated robbery warrant and confessed to shooting her three times after she refused to have his baby. He pleaded no contest to murder and was sentenced to 40 years in prison
