Thankfully the woman was able to fight off the intruder, later identified as Achyut Dhimal. Bodycam footage shows the suspect telling officers his “mind is crazy.” Dhimal was booked for aggravated burglary, kidnapping, and abduction. A court deemed him incompetent to stand trial. Dhimal has had numerous run-ins with the law over the past few years, each time being deemed incompetent to stand trial. In 2021, the suspect was angered over the price change of a cigar and allegedly told the cashier "he would blow her up." A few months later, he told police he was a "UN leader" after being caught peeping into cars. All of Dhimal's run-ins with law enforcement were caught on body camera.
