Officers identified the driver as former Whitefish Bay associate principal Rebecca Salomon, who admitted to drinking before getting behind the wheel. Investigators said Salomon allegedly failed to yield at an intersection, crashing into another vehicle and leaving driver Dave Cornea critically injured. Cornea later died from his injuries, leading prosecutors to charge Salomon with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Court records show Salomon later pleaded no contest and was sentenced to six years in prison, followed by extended supervision.
