In November 2010, an Ohio woman, her son, and her friend seemingly vanished from their home. In the process, a 13-year-old was kidnapped. Sarah Maynard was held captive in a leaf-filled basement for four days until she was rescued during a police raid. Investigators identified their suspect by tracing tarps and garbage bags found at the crime scene to Walmart surveillance footage, leading to his eventual arrest and a ten-page confession, including where the other bodies were.
