Joel Hoffendorfer was found guilty of manslaughter — a lesser charge to murder — for the killing of Kara, who he met online back in 2012. “He is a danger to women and society in general,” Paul Nichols said. “He needs to be locked up forever.” Hoffendorfer was sentenced to 24 years in prison.
