Prosecutor Jason Lewis gave an emotional and chilling opening statement, insisting that Gutierrez was responsible for the death of the cinematographer. Hutchins was fatally shot with the prop gun provided to Alec Baldwin in 2021. If convicted, Gutierrez faces up to 18 months in prison.
