The bureau chief of New Mexico OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), Robert Genoway, recalls fining the production of “Rust” over $136,000 after the shocking shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The fine the producers paid was the highest financial penalty allowed by law. Genoway says he believes that the producers failed to successfully oversee the safety of the set.
