8:27Now PlayingDuring the end of court on Wednesday, Young Thug attorney Brian Steel fought for his client to be apart of the in-camera review of the Kenneth Copeland ex-parte matter on July 1. Steel believed his client should be in the courtroom. "I respectfully disagree," Judge Ural Glanville said. Attorney Steel filed a motion to disqualify Judge Glanville due to the ex parte meeting, but it was denied for lack of evidence.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
