Michael Ricci’s best friend, Mark MacDonald, testified that Ricci showed up to work and social events with “a lot” of scratches on his face prior to his death in January of 2021. MacDonald also said Ricci had a fat lip and he noticed his behavior had changed in the weeks before he was killed. Christine Ricci, Michael’s wife, allegedly stabbed Michael to death in their kitchen.

Christine claims the stabbing was in self-defense after Michael allegedly lunged at her, lodging the knife in his chest. Their 16-year-old child called 911. First responders said Michael, a Boston firefighter, had been stabbed in the heart. Christine Ricci was charged with murder.
