The Young Thug RICO trial resumed on Tuesday morning with the court going over several motions filed in the last week. One of the first motions newly Judge Paige Whitaker made a ruling on was the state's order to prevent the YSL defense attorneys from talking to the media. Judge Whitaker denied the motion.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
