Lil Woody spoke about rapper Young Thug mentioning him in songs back in 2015. Woody said he did not like Young Thug talking about him. "Don't be lying on me," he said. When asked about what verse mentioned his name, Woody responded, "me no speak no English."

The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
