Kristen recalled the moment when she and her co-worker, Zackary Schilling, saw the surveillance video and believed it was Telles in the footage. The two considered calling the police to report who they thought the person was, and even joked earlier that Telles might have murdered Jeffery German after German wrote articles about him.

Robert Telles is accused of murdering Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German. After German had written several articles about Telles, a public administrator at the time, he was found stabbed to death outside his home in September 2022. Prosecutors claim Telles’ DNA was found under German’s fingernails. Telles has pleaded not guilty and says he was framed for the murder.
