as posted by the channelAs the trial against Quinton Nixon continued Tuesday morning, bodycam footage was played from Officer Jordan Costy. Officer Costy was called to the scene after several neighbors called 911 regarding hearing gun fire off over 9 times. When Costy arrived at the scene, she and another officer arrested Nixon where he admitted to firing the gun upwards, not towards anyone. Costy and her partner also performed a search of Nixon’s car in which they found the gun used. Nixon claimed that he carries the gun for protection, and that “we are at war," forcing him to bring the gun with him everywhere.

Ohio man Quinton Nixon, 31, was arrested in August 2022 following a standoff with Akron police for allegedly shooting and killing 34-year-old mother Toni Westover. Westover was found dead inside a Kenmore home in July 2022. Police searched for Nixon after receiving several tips about his whereabouts and eventually found him hiding inside a University Park attic. Nixon was charged with murder and will represent himself during the trial. He faces life in prison.
