Judge Whitaker denied the state's motion to present relevant evidence to the jury and the defense's "waste of time" objections. She also said the state cannot bring in the incident where a painkiller was allegedly handed to Young Thug in court.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
