McKinley Louisma, 23, is charged with murder and kidnapping after investigators say he killed Melody Hoffman, 20, in February 2024. The two were reportedly in a romantic relationship before Louisma and her friend, Dakota Van Patten, allegedly worked together to beat Hoffman to death. The victim was placed in the trunk of a car and later dumped in a local lake. If found guilty, Louisma could face life in prison.
