The judge read the verdict, convicting Nixon of two counts of murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence. Nixon was sentenced to life in prison and could be eligible for parole after serving 21 years.

Ohio man Quinton Nixon, 31, was arrested in August 2022 following a standoff with Akron police for allegedly shooting and killing 34-year-old mother Toni Westover. Westover was found dead inside a Kenmore home in July 2022. Police searched for Nixon after receiving several tips about his whereabouts and eventually found him hiding inside a University Park attic. Nixon was charged with murder and will represent himself during the trial. He faces life in prison.
