The prosecution believes that Owens is responsible for killing 8-year-old Amari Hall in 2021. In closings, the state told the jury to look at the videos that allegedly shows the woman committing the crime. "This defendant beat the living life out of Amari," the prosecutor said. Owens was dating the child's mother at the time of the murder.
