Jason Levesque, 44, is on trial for the attempted murder of his neighbor, Kyle Violette, after a violent dispute in Rochester, New Hampshire. Prosecutors allege that Levesque shot Violette multiple times following a heated argument, with video evidence showing him firing even after the victim was already wounded. Police recovered six shell casings at the scene. Levesque, however, claims he acted in self-defense, telling police that Violette had threatened to kill him and his family over a snow plowing dispute before allegedly approaching him aggressively. The defense argues that Levesque fired in fear for his safety. Levesque is charged with attempted second-degree murder, second-degree assault, and reckless conduct.
