Her three children wrote statements, expressing how much they miss their mom and how she never got a chance to see them grow up. They also talked about the abuse she faced from Tuerk. During her statement, McLean's sister criticized the doctor and called him "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." Tuerk was convicted of voluntary manslaughter.
