Brad Rund took the stand on Monday to talk about the financial status of both Ryan and Karina Cooper. He stated that Karina typically had recurring overdraft issues on her account. Rund also read documentation that both Karina and Ryan had insurance policies out, but Karina was the beneficiary for Ryan. He went on to say that Karina would get $500K in the case that Ryan died. The State then brought in Jeff Gudenkauf, from Shelter Insurance, to discuss this insurance policy further.
