Prosecutors allege Robinson was the shooter, while Whitaker helped plan the killing and assisted in the getaway, although he did not fire the weapon. Robinson’s father and another co-defendant are cooperating with the state and expected to testify. Robinson and Whitaker have pleaded not guilty.
