On Tuesday, both sides presented arguments in court seeking a bond reduction in the Barry Morphew case. The judge ultimately made the decision not to reduce his bond from $3 million to $500,000, but did change it to a cash surety or property bond. The judge also imposed new rules for the defendant, stating that he needs to surrender his passport, can not leave Colorado for any reason, must drive vehicles only registered to him, and can not have any firearms. The judge also said Morphew must wear a GPS monitor and can’t leave his home except to appear in court, meet with attorneys, or go to the doctor.
