Jesse Newbanks, a digital forensics technician with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, gave his testimony about the phone extractions he did. He did data extractions on the victim, Tim Smith’s, phone from March 23, 2023, and March 24, 2023. Newbanks said that Tim’s phone connected to a uConnect system five times during that time, which is consistent with the system in his vehicle.
