as posted by the channelOn Monday, the jury in the case against Jeffrey Spence was unable to come to a unanimous verdict, returning a 6-6 split on two separate occasions. The judge declared a mistrial and sent the jury home after they failed to reach a unanimous verdict, resulting in a hung jury. Spence was charged with capital murder and two counts of grand larceny and conspiracy for the 2022 death of Kirby Carpenter. He will remain in custody, and the court is looking to next year for the retrial.
