Brandon Isabelle was convicted of murdering his child's mother, Danielle Hoyle, and then throwing his baby, Kennedy Hoyle, into the Mississippi River in 2022. The jury deliberated for about two hours. They then decided whether to send Isabelle to prison for life with or without the possibility of parole. They chose to sentence him to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 51 years.
