During the state’s fiery opening, prosecutors detailed the police interrogation footage in which Tower allegedly admitted to murdering his adoptive parents, Jennifer and Robbie Tower, urging the jury to find him guilty. When the defense delivered its opening statement, the defendant was heard sobbing, prompting the judge to pause the proceedings and have Tower escorted out of the courtroom to “pull himself together.”
