Closing arguments in the case against Zachary Adams took place on Monday as he returned to court for a hearing to determine whether he should be granted a retrial. Adams was convicted in 2017 of the murder, sexual assault, and kidnapping of Holly Bobo. During the hearing, the defense argued that the state’s evidence and witness testimony were unreliable. Meanwhile, prosecutors said the defense is asking the court to free a convicted murderer and pursue charges against Terry Britt, whom they described as an innocent man.
