David Giaccio, with the Fairfax County Police Department, took the stand on Thursday in the case against Brendan Banfield. He testified about the digital forensics in the case and explained how, based on the evidence, he believed this was a case of catfishing set up by the defendant. Banfield is currently on trial for the murder of his wife inside his home in February 2023.
