On Wednesday, while the state was presenting its case, Elise Thompson, Austin Thompson’s mother, took the stand. Austin has pleaded guilty to 10 charges for an October 2023 shooting spree in a North Carolina neighborhood that killed five people. His mother recalled her other son, who was killed, Austin’s demeanor in general, the day of the tragedy, and what she would like the judge to know for his sentencing.
