35:33Now PlayingOn Thursday, the defense gave its opening statement in the case against Dr. Gerhardt Konig. He is accused of attempting to kill his wife while the two were on a hike in Honolulu by pushing her off a cliff and hitting her with lava rocks. The defense claims that the two were working on their relationship after he found out his wife was having an affair. His lawyer also goes on to say that this was not a premeditated plan to take her up the mountain and try to kill her in broad daylight, and she was the one who started the fight.
