The couple are charged with the murder-for-hire death of Gardner’s ex-husband, Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan. Bridegan was shot and killed in front of his young daughter in Feb. 2022. Fernandez Saldana will stand trial first, with jury selection beginning on Aug. 10. Gardner's jury selection is scheduled to begin on Aug. 31.
