YouTube Description
as posted by the channelDuring the sentencing hearing of Erik Mendoza, his defense lawyer told the court that his client was obviously dangerous and had a significant mental illness before the murder. He detailed that Mendoza’s psychosis was not a defense that he was able to use, but that this murder was not a surprise because the system failed him. Mendoza pleaded guilty to five of six charges against him, including first-degree intentional homicide and second-degree recklessly endangering safety. His lawyer asked the judge for a chance at parole after 30 years due to his age.
