United States Sues Texas over "Heartbeat" Abortion Bill

The United States has sued Texas to invalidate the "Heartbeat" bill which effectively banned abortions in the State. Abortions are legal up until "fetal viability" under U.S. law (Planned Parenthood v. Casey). The Texas law places $10,000 (minimum) 'bounties' on those who perform or aid abortions in any way - and gives private citizens the power to claim and collect those bounties.
