Our special guest, investigative genetic genealogist CeCeMoore explains how IGG works and how LE used it in the Kohberger case.
CeCe is founder of DNA Detectives and ABC chronicled her work in a series, The Genetic Detective. She's a non-resident fellow of the Du Bois R3esearch Institute at Harvard's Hutchins Center and the Chief Genetic Genealogist for Parabon Nanolabs, heading their division that services law enforcement. In the two years since the division's launch, it can boast over 200 successful identifications of violent criminals. Her work has led to the first conviction, the first conviction through jury verdict, and the first exoneration in criminal cases where the suspect was identified through investigative genetic genealogy.
