As background, on October 21, 2021, Baldwin was handling a real gun as a prop during filming of the movie Rust. The gun was loaded with one real bullet, which discharged and killed Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin is on trial in Santa Fe, New Mexico, accused of involuntary manslaughter (negligent use of a firearm), or in the alternative, involuntary manslaughter (without due caution or circumspection.)
