Telles was a Clark County, Nevada, public official, when German wrote several highly critical articles about Telles, reporting on alleged corruption and mismanagement within Telles' office, as well as an affair with an employee. The prosecution says those articles were the motive for Robert Telles to murder German. Prosecutors say that evidence such as surveillance footage and DNA links Telles to the crime scene.
Telles says he was framed. He insists he is not guilty of the murder.
Tonight we are still on verdict watch. The jury is in the second day of deliberations in a case many thought was open and shut. What is the jury thinking?
