But now, in the wake of a Netflix documentary Monsters and a prison visit from Kim Kardashian, the DA is looking at new evidence. Tonight I'm joined by Judge and Professor Chong Kim. Born in Busan, South Korea, she immigrated to the U.S. in 1973. She earned her BA in History from the University of Georgia in 1988 and her JD from Washington and Lee University in 1992. After 25 years in criminal defense, she became a judge in 2020 and served as Special Master for the State Bar in 2018. She also teaches public policy at a local university.

Judge Kim was recognized as one of NAPABA’s “40 Under 40” in 2002 and named a “Rising Star.”
