The jury has returned a unanimous guilty verdict against Brian Walshe on the most serious charge brought by the Commonwealth. But when the verdict was read, Walshe’s reaction — or lack of one — immediately stood out.

In this video, we take a close look at that moment in the courtroom and why it matters. We start by setting the stage: what this verdict means for Brian Walshe, what was truly at stake, and why a guilty verdict carried such enormous consequences. Then we watch the verdict come in and carefully examine Walshe’s reaction as the jury speaks.

Finally, we talk through the case, the verdict, and what likely persuaded the jury. I answer viewer questions and discuss what happens next in the legal process.

On New Year’s Day 2023, Ana Walshe vanished without a trace—leaving behind three young sons. Hours later, police say her husband Brian Walshe was googling how to dispose of a body. Police say they found blood in the basement and in a trash container miles from the Walshe home. But they have never found the body of Ana Walshe. Now Brian Walshe is on trial for the murder of Ana.
