Shanna Gardner's Best Friend May Be Her Biggest Problem

Shanna Gardner is accused of conspiring to murder her ex-husband, Jared Bridegan, in a case that prosecutors say was fueled by years of conflict over custody and co-parenting. Gardner has pleaded not guilty, as has her current husband. Their cases remain pending, and trial is set for later this year.

Tonight, we're taking a closer look at Kim Jensen, Gardner's longtime best friend and a witness who may play a critical role at trial. Prosecutors say Jensen's phone preserved years of messages that reveal motive, planning, and inside knowledge. The defense argues Jensen's statements are unreliable and taken out of context. We'll examine the evidence, the attacks on Jensen's credibility, and why both sides appear to view her as one of the most important witnesses in the case.
