Wage an hour law is a specific category that protects the employees throughout the nation against the employers to make sure that they're being paid properly. There's minimum wages in each state and there's overtime that's required for nonexempt employees in every state. The fair labor standards act is a federal statute that protects everyone in the United States against being taken advantage of by their employers. If you work more than 40 hours, you need to get paid time and a half for that time worked. That's considered overtime. Every hour worked, you need to make sure you're getting your minimum wage. In Florida, that's $8.10 an hour. So, the types of lawyers that handle wage an hour law protect the rights of employees.
