The report claimed that achieving Net Zero emissions will cost the UK £4.5 trillion, or £6,000 per household per year, by 2050. However, the Civitas report appears to confuse the electrical measurement units megawatt and megawatt-per-hour and, therefore, massively overestimates the cost of building new onshore wind turbines.
