Speaking to LBC's Tom Swarbrick, Mr Stride said Rishi Sunak had "absolutely not" betrayed anyone over delivering the Rwanda plan, noting that the PM is a man of "great integrity and principle".
The axed Home Secretary mauled the PM in an extraordinary resignation letter on Tuesday, telling him that he "manifestly and repeatedly failed to deliver on every single one of these key policies."
She told the "weak" Sunak that he has broken a series of promises on migration, the Rwanda policy, gender laws, and Brexit - adding that he was simply "occupying" the office of prime minister.
