YouTube Description
as posted by the channelJames O’Brien and LBC’s political editor Natasha Clark analyse this week's PMQs as Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer went head-to-head. Though many assumed the debate would centre around Lee Anderson's position in the Conservative Party, following recent 'Islamophobic' comments he made about Sadiq Khan, Starmer instead chose to start with questions on Lis Truss and Nigel Farage. The Labour Leader pressed Sunak on why the former PM still 'retains the Tory whip' and asked if he'd 'welcome Farage' into the Tory Party. It culminated with Starmer branding the Tories the 'political wing of the Flat Earth Society.'
'He didn't go in on the stuff we expected him to'
'It did descend into "Which former leader was worse?"'
'Presumably Sunak wasn't expecting the Truss question'
'I enjoyed Starmer's language today'
'"Flat Earth Society"was a favourite quote of mine'
'He's deliberately alienated the exact voters he was trying to keep sweet'
'The Corbyn argument didn't quite resonate as much as Sunak hoped'
'The bit I don't quite get is who he's frightened of?'
'Why would Sunak not say "There's no room for this bloke"'?
'It would open a pandora's box of what many of their voters have strong feelings on'
'Starmer might have been a little cleverer than I've given him credit for'
'He can never really admit it publicly'
'Sunak's tying himself in all sorts of knots'
'Keir Starmer's not getting any of those Nigel Farage voters'
'He almost said - "there are some votes I do not want"'
'He wants to undermine and humiliate him'
'He's essentially said - "forget your Red Wall"'
'If you're still swallowing that snake oil - I'm not the politician for you'
