Iain Dale and his Cross Question panel discuss whether the press is trying to 'smear' Angela Rayner regarding her tax affairs.

Labour's Deputy Leader is embroiled in controversy over allegations of violating electoral and tax regulations.

One accusation involves registering an incorrect property on the electoral roll, while there are also concerns about possible capital gains tax avoidance and misrepresentation of her primary residence.

Rayner, however, denies any wrongdoing - saying that divorced couples with children often share homes for the sake of their kids.

The Cross Question panel includes:

David Gauke - Former Conservative cabinet minister - who is a columnist for the New Statesman and editor of the book ‘The Case for the Centre Right’.

Harriet Line - Deputy Political Editor at the Daily Mail.

Mike Katz - Chair of the Jewish Labour Movement.

Scarlett MccGwire - Political commentator and communications consultant.
