YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAs Keir Starmer sets out the first steps he'd take if Labour wins the next general election, Shelagh Fogarty analyses what's missing from his list.
Starmer previously outlined five pledges, which included growing the economy, raising educational standards, improving the NHS, reforming the justice system, and making Britain a clean energy superpower.
However, he's now added a sixth pledge which focuses on tackling 'people smuggling gangs'.
Speaking at an event in Essex, the Labour Leader said that "decline is not inevitable" and that "politics can make a difference".
He told Labour activists: "One card, six steps, in your hand - a plan to change the country. This is a message to take to every doorstep in the country."
